Aims
- To advise on academic aspects of training i.e. research and teaching skills for all psychiatrists
- To offer academic advice on public and media engagement
- To promote academic psychiatry as a career and ensure an academic career path for trainees
- To encourage and support research activities among trainees
- To promote the value of research in psychiatry
- To represent the views and interests of academic psychiatrists in Ireland
- To encourage the promotion of research and training with the Universities and other external organisations
- To interact with the Royal College of Psychiatrists Academic Faculty
Dates of upcoming meetings in 2023
- 1pm on Wednesday, 25th January
- 1pm on Wednesday, 26th April
- 1pm on Wednesday, 6th September
- 1pm on Wednesday, 29th November
Meetings take place online via zoom video conferencing.
College Faculty/SIG and committee meetings can garner 1 internal or external CPD credit per meeting up to a maximum of 10 credits per PCS year.
