Liaison Psychiatry/Psychological Medicine is a specialty within Psychiatry concerned with assessment and treatment of, as well as research into mental health problems amongst patients who attend general hospital healthcare services.
Aims
- To provide expert opinion on Liaison Psychiatry
- To champion the need for Liaison Psychiatry services in all major general hospitals and regions throughout Ireland
- To promote and develop postgraduate training in Liaison Psychiatry
- To encourage and promote research in Liaison Psychiatry
- To support the continuing professional development of the Liaison Psychiatrist
Dates of upcoming meetings in 2023
- 8am on Friday, 10th March
- 8am on Friday, 9th June
- 8am on Friday, 1st September
- 8am on Friday, 1st December
Meetings take place online via zoom video conferencing.
College Faculty/SIG and committee meetings can garner 1 internal or external CPD credit per meeting up to a maximum of 10 credits per PCS year.
